SADNIGAN: Extracurricular Fund Program Batch 2

Ateneo de Naga is committed to student formation that extends beyond the four walls of the classroom. Through extracurricular activities and engagements, Ateneans are shaped into leaders who are competent, passionate, and committed to the service of others. However, the lack of financial resources often hinders students from joining valuable learning opportunities. The SANDIGAN program, which means support or foundation, was established as a support system—a “sandigan” for extracurricular pursuits. This fund program aims to provide accessible financial assistance for academic competitions and creative or leadership endeavors outside the classroom. The funding for this program will be allocated from the official budget of the Internal Vice President, ensuring that resources are directly invested in student development and leadership formation. To maximize reach and manage available funds efficiently, SANDIGAN will primarily cover the land transportation expenses of students going to and from the event/activity or the food expenses of those participating in extracurricular activities and events, whether local or national in scope. By serving as a foundation of support, SANDIGAN reaffirms the institution’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals who not only excel academically but also actively contribute to the growth and spirit of their communities.
